Jar of Sainsbury's yeast extract encased in a colourless perspex block. A till receipt issued at Sainsbury's Wimbledon branch on 14th May 1984 for the yeast extract and a bottle of champagne is also encased within the block.
The block has bevelled edges and features brown printed inscriptions on three sides, 'ICL', 'SUPERMARKET 20' and 'J SAINSBURY'.
This item was produced to commemorate the introduction of scanning checkouts into Sainsbury's stores.
