This knife holder is designed to be wall mounted. The holder is a box with an open back and base that would have been fitted directly against a wall to enclose knives and other butcher's tools.
There are two metal hooks attached to the front of the holder and eight holes of various shapes and sizes in the top, four of which are lined with white plastic. Each hole and hook would have been used to hold an implement. " Butchers Knife + Tool Holder" is written in black ink on the front surface of the object.
