Sainsbury Archive Logo
Contains colour and black and white photographs and contact sheets of areas in which Sainsbury's have stores. Includes three large black and white photographs of the White Hart Hotel, Guildford. According to a photograph of a press cutting with these photographs, Sainsbury's had acquired it and intended to erect their own business premises upon it.

Also contains letters to and from a lady whose father had a shop at 59 George Street, Hove and whose uncle had one at what would become 84/88 Blatchington Road, also in Hove. The sites upon which these shops were situated eventually became branches of Sainsbury's. There are also some black and white photographs of the shops and the lady. One of the photographs appeared in the JS Journal [Sainsbury's staff magazine], August 1966.
