Officials' salaries book, Feb 1949-Mar 1955

Salary book containing details of payments for salaries and other personnel costs (eg tax, insurance, pensions) for named 'officials' at Sainsbury's (paid on a monthly basis).

This volume relates to all levels of 'officials' (but not 'junior officials' from 1950 who are listed in a separate salaries book) including directors of the company and the chairman J.B. Sainsbury.

An account code is included (eg B8, C1) which presumably identifies the ledger account from which that particular employee's salary was to be deducted.
