Oral history audio recording and transcript from an interview at a Sainsbury's Veterans (retired staff) reunion. Interviewed by Bridget Williams (Sainsbury's Archives), possibly as part of her research for 'The Best Butter in the World: A History of Sainsbury's'. The interview mainly relates to Sainsbury's from the 1930s to 1960s including refrigeration, depots, the recruitment of graduates and changing role of branch managers.
