Christmas edition of "Try something new" Booklet promoting Christmas food and drink including recipes. The booklet was produced by Seven Squared on behalf of Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd.
The booklet is divided into the following sections:
"Midweek meals" - recipes for meals which can be frozen (beef & shallot pie with mash; red pepper, borlotti & chorizo baked pasta; spicy parsnip & black bean casserole; garlicky potato & ham bake; sweet potato, aubergine & chicken curry); also promotes Sainsbury's ready meals.
"What's new" - Susi Richards, Head of Product Development, "picks some of her favourite new festive products" - Sainsbury's Hibiscus Pink Fizz; Taste the Difference mince pies; Choices dairy-free chocolate advent calendar; Taste the Difference panettone; Sainsbury's Christmas decorating range; and Sainsbury's chocolate stocking fillers.
"Now in season" - promotes British winter chestnuts; recipe for roast carrots & chestnuts
"Now's the time to... have a party..." - food for Christmas parties including various canapés and snacks such as mini Christmas pies, Sainsbury's Basics range snacks, mini onion bhajis, cooked meats, 60-piece party snack selections, mini doughnuts, Taste the Difference range products.
"Christmas cheers" - drinks including: Sainsbury's Taste the Difference beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks; Sainsbury's Czech Lager; Sainsbury's House wine range.
"Glitz & glamour" - clothes for parties from Sainsbury's TU range.
"Get decorating!" - Sainsbury's baking kits for children.
"Setting the festive scene" - table decorations including plates, Christmas crackers, bouquets of flowers, Tu range of products such as glasses, coasters, and crockery.
"The main event" - Christmas dinner including Taste the Difference dressed crabs, smoked salmon, turkeys and other meats, vegetables, stuffing; recipes (pear, date & nut salad; celebration scallops).
"Delectable desserts" - Christmas desserts including Christmas puddings, cakes, and mince pies.
"Happy endings" - after-dinner food and drink including cheeses, chutneys, chocolates, port.
"Remains of the day" - recipes using up leftovers (part of the "Love Your Leftovers" promotional campaign): coronation turkey; bubble & squeak; potato & stilton soup; Christmas pud blondies.
"Top 10 festive tips" - tips and advice for Christmas from Sainsbury's product buyers.
"Christmas countdown" - guide to planning for Christmas.
