Press releases about the money raised under Sainsbury's Penny Back Scheme by Sainsbury's stores for local charities. Each press release gives information on the amount of money raised by an individual store, and names the charities which benefitted from donations. Two of the press releases include photographs of the donation presentations.

The Penny Back scheme was launched in January 1991 to encourage the reuse of carrier bags. A customer was given a penny for each carrier bag they reused which could go in charity boxes placed in stores.
