EFTPOS initiative minutes of meeting with Tesco

Minutes of meeting held with Tesco's Retail Systems Contoller to review the issues of: hot card list, mis-use of cards, £200 limit on transactions, networking, credit cards, cash back and an advisory service.

EFTPOS (Electronic Funds Transfer at Point of Sale), refers to the systems for the electronic transfer of money when customers pay with a credit or debit card. EFTPOS was introduced to Sainsbury's stores in October 1989 - initially only the Switch debit card was accepted by Sainsbury's, but from 1991 credit cards were also accepted.
