Tape containing two videos which it seems were intended to be shown at the Sainsbury’s Buyers' Conference in November 1995 for staff from the marketing and buying divisions of the company.

Contents:
1. Video of interview with Kevin McCarten following his appointment as Sainsbury’s Marketing Director. He answers various question on his background and previous roles, reasons for joining Sainsbury’s and what he hopes to bring to the company, his personal interests, and thoughts on the future of Sainsbury’s. The video has a ‘Mastermind’ theme.
2. (04:58) Video showing Sainsbury’s staff (probably from the buying and marketing divisions) with some statistics and achievements from Sainsbury’s mainly relating to sales of products and marketing (eg 130 million cans of beans sold a year, during 1994 the national advertisement department produced 60 TV commercials, and during August they sold enough bottled water to fill two Olympic swimming pools). Brief footage is included to illustrate the video showing stores, products, warehouses etc.
