Environmental issues external correspondence, 1989-90

File containing correspondence with the public, organizations and companies about environmental issues. The file contains correspondence which was dealt with by Sainsbury's Director of Marketing in his role as Chairman of the Environmental Affairs Committee.

It includes correspondence about packaging, irradiated food, sponsorship request, the Living Today environment leaflet, charity textiles recycling banks, CFCs and the ozone layer. A memorandum with statistics on the number of customer letters on environmental issues for the six weeks ended 4 August 1989 is also included.
