Video to provide Sainsbury's staff with an overview of changes to the J Sainsbury pension schemes which were to be introduced on 28 March 2004. Staff from Loughton store participated in the making of the video.
Video begins and ends with text introducing the reasons for changes, placed over footage of Sainsbury's branches and staff and general footage of people, cities and newspaper headlines, with music playing. It refers to the Sainsbury's Pensions Consultative Committee. The main part of the video consists of clips of interviews with human resources director Imelda Walsh detailing changes to final salary scheme, company contributions, career average scheme, stakeholder scheme, and then Pensions Consultative Commitee members Clare Norman, Rod Taylor, Sandra Smith, and member nominated trustee Chris Benham giving their views. The video ends with more footage of Sainsbury's staff and details of the JS Pensions Hotline and website onscreen, followed by "© J Sainsbury plc 2003".
