Senior Executives salary book, 16 Jun 1958-26 Mar 1960

Book containing details of payments of salary and other employment costs (tax, insurance, pension fund etc) for named senior executives of Sainsbury's.

This book relates to only a small number of individuals including superintendents (who were in charge of all the branches in a particular area) and senior managers of departments at head office. Directors of the company are not included in this book however (although a few of the executives listed did become directors at a later date).

Tables summarising the total expenditure on senior executive salaries for each financial period (each financial year was divided into 13 periods) are also included.
