Three videos containing footage and interviews relating to the 'Value to Shout About' campaign. It is unclear how these videos were intended to be used, but they may have been for an internal business television programme or staff video.

1. Video of message from comedian John Cleese to Sainsbury's staff[?] about his involvement in Sainsbury's "Value To Shout About" television commercials. John Cleese talks about how pleased he is to be working with Abbott Mead Vickers (advertising agency) and Sainsbury's, and why he thinks the latest commercials will be successful. He also mentions shopping at Sainsbury's Ladbroke Grove branch. Dated 4 Sep 1998. 2 minutes 59 seconds.

2. Video footage (edited) showing point of sale advertising and product displays inside a store for Sainsbury’s “Value to Shout About” marketing campaign. Customers and staff are also shown. The footage is production material, perhaps for an internal business television programme or staff video. There is some background music, but no commentary. Duration: 3 minutes (only the first 56 seconds are useful; the rest of the tape just seems to contain incomplete/faulty copies of the same footage). Video from C/T/N. Dated 4 Sep 1998.

3. Unedited footage of an interview with marketing director Kevin McCarten speaking about the "Value to Shout About" campaign, including its aims and how it would be delivered, including the television commercials campaign. Near the end of the video the interviewer mentions that the interview was for "a programme coming out next Tuesday [15 September 1998], which is to follow on, to help the cascade to the managers, from today's presentation". It is unclear if the Archive holds a video in which this interview appears. Duration: 6 minutes 55 seconds. Dated 8 Sep 1998.
