Black, cylindrical, plastic tub with a removable white plastic lid.
The lid has the name of the product printed on its side, 'SAINSBURY'S black shoe polish with applicator' along with the price, '1[s]6[d]'.
The tub contains a tablet of black shoe polish, a foil disc and a foam pad with a plastic handle. After removing the foil disc from the foam pad the pad could be used to apply the polish to shoes. The bottom of the tub contains directions for use.
