Rectangular cardboard sleeve. The sleeve holds a cardboard drawer containing approximately thirty five wooden safety matches with white tips. The long sides of the sleeve have abrasive surfaces to strike the matches against.
The top of the box has a black paper label attached to it which contains the name of the product, 'safety matches'. According to the label, the matches were made in Czechoslovakia. The label also states that the matches were to be kept 'away from children'.
