This episode (20 minutes long) entitled 'A Self Service Shop' gives details of the various different jobs in self-service food shops, and is filmed at a Sainsbury's self-service store. The programme shows staff in the shop carrying out their daily work and includes interviews with staff.
Examples of footage in the programme include a female employee 'plonking' the tins of food with prices, lift/conveyor belt system for taking goods from store room into the main part of the store, a female employee filling the gondolas, a job interview, training, and preparation and packing of food.
