Recording of a special Sainsbury's Business Television programme for Sainsbury's staff (mainly store management teams) focussing on Christmas, with particular emphasis on range and availability, merchandising and service. It was broadcast on 6 November 2002 by satellite to Sainsbury's stores, depots and offices.

The programme was the second of a series of programmes about the Christmas trading period. It was filmed at Pepper Hill store. Footage from inside and outside Pepper Hill store including product and Christmas themed displays, point of sale advertising, various products, staff at work, customers shopping, checkouts and counters is included.

Contents:
1. Introduction - Christmas 'go live' Wednesday 6 November.
2. Adam Fowle (retail director) discusses Christmas gifts; party theme; importance of availability; 'wow' factor in decorating stores; improving checkout service; turkey and gift ordering service; Christmas range; eyecatching displays.
3. Stuart Machin (general manager, seasonal events and promotions) and Martin Raye (store manager, Pepper Hill) discusses Christmas ranges; hampers; 'gift zone'; calendars; importance of availability, replenishing Christmas lines and avoiding having to discount Christmas lines after Christmas; importance of creative and imaginative Christmas displays.
4. Various staff at Pepper Hill point out some of the Christmas displays in the store and creating a Christmas atmosphere - creating 'theatre' with displays, gifting zone, freezer displays etc.
5. Simon Webb (retail operation director) discusses customer service levels; checkout service; turkey ordering service; gift ordering service; rewards for staff including 'Great Service Heroes' programme.
