Video containing a series of television commercials for Texas Homecare. They are humorous adverts all ending with the strap line “Prices worth going to Texas for”. The advertising agency appears to have been Leagas-Delaney.

1. Advert promoting kitchens at half price. It’s in black and white and is a parody of 1950s American-style cleaning product commercials, featuring a woman in a kitchen explaining how she made her grimy kitchen so clean by ripping it out and getting a new one.
2. Advert promoting the new range of lighting. Shows a couple sitting in the dark because their lamp “is so hideous looking” and then run away in horror when it is turned on.
3. Advert promoting wardrobes at 20% off. Shows a travelling salesman having an affair with a woman (played by Annette Badland?) in her home. She hears her husband arriving and tells the salesman to get in the wardrobe, but there isn’t one.
4. Advert promoting Victoriana bathroom suite at 20% off. Shows three people on a sofa drumming their feet as though they were desperate to go to the toilet.
5. Advert promoting Dicon smoke alarms. Shows a couple in bed sleeping, then panning across to show there are several firefighters in the (extra wide) bed with them – “Buy a Dicon smoke alarm and it’s not just you who’ll get a good night’s sleep”.
