Geometric and stylised floral transfer-printed design under a colourless glaze. A raised inscription on the reverse includes the makers name, 'Minton, Hollins & Co Patent Tile Works Stoke on Trent'. This style of tile was used on the counters of early Sainsbury's showpiece branches such as Lewisham, Balham and Brondesbury.
