Video consisting of unedited footage of first part of Sainsbury's 1990 Annual General Meeting (AGM). The meeting was held on 11 July 1990 at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, Westminster, London.

Includes footage of: shareholders entering conference hall and waiting in their seats; chairman John Davan Sainsbury, Baron Sainsbury of Preston Candover and unseen person [company secretary Nigel Matthews?] addressing the formal business of the meeting; John Davan Sainsbury answering questions from shareholders on the topics of elderly customers, corned beef tins, nutritional labelling, the lack of female directors, productivity, personal equity plans, the role of non-executive directors, beef safety concerns over BSE ("mad cow disease"), Shaw's, Sainsbury's involvement with the Soviet Union, and dividend policy. The questions continue in LSA/8858/4.

The footage has a burnt-in timecode.
