The book only gives a summary of the expenditure on insurance (there is no information about individual employees).

The volume includes two types of tables:

1. Tables on pages 1 to 118 which give information on the expenditure for each department/office (covers Oct 1940 to Jan 1941 only):

2. Tables on page 119 to 502 in which the figures for each week are summarised in a single table covering all departments (covers Oct 1941 to Jan 1949 only). The accounts refer to expenditure on stamps, die stamps, and Neopost impressions (Neopost is a franking machine company) - this relates to the method of paying for National Insurance using special stamps which were then in use.

No data appears to be included in this volume for February to September 1941.
