Debit payments are listed under the codes S49/4 (Total), S49/1, 30/-12, and S44/-6. Credit payments are under the codes S49 (Total), 30/13, 30/1 (Bought Ledger) and Sundries. Columns for other account codes (including "Main Canteens", "Sales" and "Estate A/c's" in the credits) are included in the table but have not been used and some of the column headings have been amended perhaps suggesting that the cash book was not used for the purpose for which it was designed. The majority of transactions listed (by number of transactions) are credits, mainly to various named companies and organisations. The debits are made up mainly of a small number of high value payments from S.G. Warburg and branch bankings.
