Mrs Fenner featured on the cover of JS Journal January 1961 and also on page 23 with the caption "Mrs E. Fenner of our Battersea branch, who the staff know as "Edie", is the Battersea Chamber of Commerce choice as the best sales personality of the Borough. She was awarded the £30 first prize as the person who best fitted the description compiled by 230 members of the public of the perfect saleswoman. Mrs Fenner has been with J.S. [Sainsbury's] since 1949, when she first started working at Battersea branch."
