Images of retirement party for Miss Davison and Miss Newland

Photographs of a retirement party for Miss Davison and Miss Newland who both retired on the same day and had a party at the Grapes in Borough High Street. Miss Davison had worked for Sainsbury's since 1933 and was secretary to Alan Sainsbury from 1945 until her retirement. Miss Newland joined Sainsbury's in 1935 and for most of her career was secretary to Mr F.W. Salisbury (from 1938 until Mr Salisbury's retirement in 1965). Some of the photographs are included in JS Journal December 1967.
