Television commercial (40 seconds) with the slogan “Sainsbury’s. Essential for the essentials”. Promotes Sainsbury’s White Bread (29p), Sainsbury’s Long Life Pure Orange Juice (49p), Sainsbury’s Italian Pasta Penne Rigate (49p). Advertising agency reference: AMV/SAFP195/040.

The advertisement starts with four female actors morphed into one shot saying "Something extraordinary is happening at Sainsbury's, hundreds of essential items at new low prices...". This is followed by footage of products, graphics and a male voiceover promoting the various offers. It finishes with the four women "I've always liked Sainsbury's quality, now more than ever I like their prices too" followed by the “Sainsbury’s. Essential for the essentials" slogan.

The advertisement was part of the Essential Low Price Campaign and was broadcast during the weeks commencing 14 and 21 November 1993 (see Special Bulletin 451/93 and 465/93).
