Video containing nine animatics for a series of proposed television commercials for Sainsbury’s. These animatics contain drawings and captions to demonstrate the proposed ideas for the commercials, like a storyboard, so that they could be approved, modified or rejected before they filmed an actual commercial. Some simple animation is done to enable the animatic to give a better impression of what the finished commercial could look like than a storyboard on paper.

The animatics on this video don’t contain any dialogue and instead on screen captions are used. “Nothing Compares 2 U” by Sinead O’Connor is used as the background music.

None of the animatics shown appear to have been made into a finished commercial.
