Sainsbury's Cream jars packing case

Rectangular cardboard box with a four flap opening. The box appears to have been used to transport jars of cream.

One of the flaps has a warning on it which reads, 'CREAM IN JARS FRAGILE PLEASE HANDLE WITH CARE'.

Another of the flaps has a label attached to it with the following type written message, 'MESSRS. SAINSBURY, PADDINGTON STATION TO BE CALLED FOR, TO ARRIVE NOT LATER 4 A.M. CERTAIN'. The label also features a printed warning, 'Dairy Produce With Care. - THIS SIDE UP', and a date, '15 jan 1957'. There are also two previous dates on the label, 'August' and '193-'. Both appear to have been crossed out to make way for the new date.

The middle of the box has brown tape wrapped around it which features the following instruction, 'STORE IN COOL PLACE'. The base contains details about the box such as its maker and the type of material it was made out of, 'FIBERITE'.
