Three black and white photographs taken at a press lunch to promote Sainsbury's 'German Fortnight' (13 to 25 August 1979) during which a variety of German food and drinks were available at Sainsbury's stores.
The photographs were used in JS Journal (staff magazine) September 1979 pages 10-11.
The photographs show:
a display of various products including salamis and other sausages, wines, and cheeses which will be available
Sainsbury's Director Bob Ingham and others by a table full of German foods
a display of Sainsbury's Bavarian Butter - a new own label product
