Video produced to inform Sainsbury's staff about developments in the company during the 1972-1973 financial year. This video replaced the middle managers meeting video which was shown to staff during the previous year. The video is introduced by Reginald Bosanquet (newsreader). 20 minutes, 35 seconds long.

The video includes:
1. Report on the Woolwich store [25 Calderwood Street], including details of the new developments and innovations at the store and footage of the opening by John Davan Sainsbury.
2. Footage of the construction of Telford store.
3. Report from Timothy Sainsbury about store development. Includes footage of Peterborough Bretton store, and discussion of various new stores which are being planned.
4. Item on the closure of Sainsbury's Factory at Blackfriars, London.
5. Item on the retirement of Max Justice. Includes footage inside a store.
6. Item on extension of unit pricing - price per pound or ounce added to more products.
7. Item on sell by dates being added to more products, to be extended to all perishable goods.
8. Item on new publications - "Sainsbury's Help You Add Variety To Your Diet" and set of 24 recipe cards.
9. Interview of John Davan Sainsbury (company chairman) discussing the company's performance during the year and other developments in the company including the forthcoming public flotation of the company. Includes introductory footage of Stamford House (head office) entrance.

A film production programme for the film can be found at SA/SC/4/1/24/1. This reveals that the main part of the film was filmed and edited in February to March 1973 but the interview with J.D. Sainsbury was filmed on 6th April. The film was intended to be first shown to middle managers on 30th April, and was then shown at head office on 1st May, then on 2nd May at depots and area offices, and that further copies were then sent to areas for showing to staff.
