"Spent several years here under various managers from Bryn Page to Colin Lythe. A funny store originally half it's size and then doubled by buying the store next door. The floors were different levels though so there were ramps between the two halves. I never understood why we put the boards of sugar in the higher part of the store and had to take a run at the ramp with the board on an manual Rolatruc! Being a double ended shop we used to get a lot of shoplifting and on busy days the queues at the front of the store could meet the queues from the back of the store in the middle of the shop.
