Contains correspondence and some papers about the purchase and closure of 61/3 Rye Lane (the branch) and 3 Cerise Road (staff premises behind the branch), Peckham, London and Sainsbury's attempts to find a purchaser for its freehold interest in the properties.

61/3 Rye Lane was the last service branch and closed on 27 Nov 1982. After its closure Sainsbury agreed to let Help the Aged occupy the premises until it was sold or leased. Also includes photographs of the branch and letters from the Museum of London informing the Archives of the removal of the decorative wooden screen from the branch to the Museum.
