Customer account book issued by the J. Sainsbury Ltd. branch at 10 Cornfield Road, Eastbourne with a gold inscription on the front cover, 'J. SAINSBURY Head Depot BLACKFRIARS BRANCHES THROUGHOUT LONDON & SUBURBS'. The front cover also features and an oval cut out revealing the handwritten name and address of the customer, 'Mrs Chitty 57 Willingdon Road.' The book states the terms of J. Sainsbury customer accounts and also contains details of Mrs Chitty's weekly purchases and their cost, each page has been stamped when payment has been received.
