Photographs of the visit of the Rt Hon Cledwyn Hughes (Minister of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries) on Tuesday October 8 1968 to Sainsbury's Basingstoke depot and Guildford supermarket.
At the depot the Minister visited the Bacon Department, the Pre-packed Lamb Department, the pre-packing departments for Beef and Cheese, Grocery Packing and the Non-Perishable and Perishable Warehouses. He was accompanied by Vice-Chairman J.D. Sainsbury and others.
Some of the photographs are featured in JS Journal November 1968.
