Press release announcing that Lord Sainsbury of Drury Lane (Alan Sainsbury) is to open the Haverhill store. The release explains the Sainsbury family's close connection with the area, although the store was the company's first in the town. Frank Sainsbury's house Blunt's Hall (which had become the site of Haverhill Meat Products factory) and Lord Sainsbury's house were both in the area. Lord Sainsbury had also stood as Parliamentary election candidate in the area in 1929, 1931 and 1935.
