Photographs of the new Sainsbury's store in Broadmead, Bristol. It was Britain's biggest self-service store when it opened on 14 November 1961 (according to JS Journal). Includes photographs of Alan Sainsbury (Lord Sainsbury of Drury Lane) opening the shop.
