Recording of "It's the Business" programme for Sainsbury's staff (mainly store management teams). "It's the Business" was the anchor business television programme on the "SMART" network (Sainsbury's Management and Retail Television). This programme was broadcast live on 14 January 1997 by satellite to Sainsbury's stores, depots and offices. It was presented by John Howard in the studio.

News update – Ripley store awarded Investors in People status; support for Tommy’s Campaign Parent Friendly Awards; half a million pounds raised by Sainsbury’s for BBC Children in Need charity appeal (includes phone interview with David Robb, District Manager); Special Olympics fundraising campaign; board director John Adshead awarded a CBE; Homebase to launch a new insurance service
6. Report about organic food by Felicity Quevatre. Includes footage of vegetables being packed. Interview with Ian Merton (Departmental Director, Produce).
7. Report about the launch of Sainsbury’s Bank by Mark Jeffreys. Includes footage of presentation about bank at the Midlands store managers roadshow. Interviews included with attendees, Jeremy Toyne (Project Manager).
