Recording of a Sainsbury's Business Television programme for Sainsbury's staff (mainly store management teams). It was broadcast live on 5 September 2000 by satellite to Sainsbury's stores, depots and offices. It was presented by John Howard in the studio.

03:24: Pre-recorded telephone interview with director, ISD [Information Systems Division], GNX [Global NetXchange] operations Chris Montagnon about planned transfer of 800 Sainsbury's IT [Information Technology] staff to Andersen Consulting, including discussion of the task of replacing IT systems and the benefits of working with Andersen Consulting.
08:36: Coverage of re-opening of flagship Cromwell Road, Kensington branch. Includes clips of interviews with retail director Robin Whitbread, group chief executive Peter Davis, store manager Kevin Plant, branch staff and customers, and footage of interior of the branch with staff and customers. Footage includes celebrity chef Jamie Oliver welcoming customers, posing for photographs, signing books and addressing staff; sushi bar; "crussh" fresh juice bar; "well being" and organic foods department; self-weigh scales for fresh fruit and vegetables; and display of Sainsbury's Water-to-Go Pure Water.
12:15: Telephone interview with Kevin Plant about positive customer feedback, training of sushi bar staff by YO! Sushi company and other staff training methods, and wheatgrass juice available at juice bar.
16:50: Video of message recorded by HR operations director Nigel Broome to update staff about review of staff salary bands A to E, address questions from staff and explain what would happen next. Questions appear as text onscreen to give the message more structure: "The A to E project: how does it work?"; "The appeals process: who does it involve?"; "Red circling: what does it mean?"; "Training support: what? where? when?"; "Performance related pay: when will it happen?"; and "Colleague deployment: the future".
26:26: Video of Jamie Oliver speaking about new Sainsbury's television commercial in which he makes a tart for his Nan (grandmother, who he calls "Tiger"; see SA/MARK/ADV/3/4/6/3/2 for the "Get stuck in with Jamie Oliver's Tasty Tuscan tart" recipe card). Also includes footage of Jamie Oliver in recording studio singing 'All Day and All of the Night' by the Kinks and the finished commercial.

Duration: 28 minutes 10 seconds (excluding 2 minutes of countdown at beginning and 30 seconds of blank screen at end). Ends with text onscreen reading "With thanks to colleagues at Cromwell Road, London" and "Produced by Group Internal Communications", followed by screen showing contact details for Business Television.
