Recording of a special Sainsbury's Business Television programme for Sainsbury's staff (mainly store management teams) titled "more about... quality" or "think quality" about the "seeing is believing" quality cascade programme. It was broadcast on 28 November 2000 by satellite to Sainsbury's stores, depots and offices. It was presented by Jayne Constantinis.

The programme formed part of the "think quality" cascade pack (including a ringbinder file with further information). The information was then to be cascaded to the store manager's team. An update was planned to be given in the spring.

Contents:
1. Introduction by presenter.
2. Interview with Peter Davis (Chief Executive Officer) about the quality campaign.
3. ‘Golden rules of quality’ – interview with Geoff Spriegel (Technical Director) about how to ensure the six golden rules are followed: ‘cleanliness & freshness’, ‘appearance of colleagues’, ‘temperature of product’, ‘selling product in life’ [ensuring products sold within use by/best before dates], ‘segregation of products’ [keeping raw products away from ready-to-eat products], and ‘product information’ [eg ensuring information on allergies is on display].
4. ‘Working together’ – interview with Graham Naylor (Central Retail Operations Director) about what quality means and how people across the company are responsible in a team effort.
5. ‘Quality expectations’ – "Vox pop" interviews with customers and staff about what they expect.
6. ‘Shop floor standards’ – interview with Keith Millen (District Manager) about standards including cleaning, evaluation of trading standards, and ‘blind shopping’ (testing quality by touch wearing a blindfold).
7. ‘Training & support’ – interview with Paul Crisp (Store Manager) discussing the training and support available to store managers including food safety advisors.
8. ‘Moving forward’ – interview with Robin Whitbread (Retail Director) discussing how the company needs to focus on quality.
9. Conclusion by presenter.
Includes footage of: senior managers/directors (including Peter Davis) visiting a store to check for quality issues and talk to staff; product displays; product packaging; fish counter; meat counter; fresh fruit and vegetables displays; delicatessen counter; Food to Go counter; bakery counter; store warehouse; pineapples.

The Archive also has a shortened version of this programme, possibly edited to be viewed by more staff than would have watched the full version, or as a reminder of its contents; the tape label suggests it may have been broadcast on 21 February 2001. Some sections have been removed, including part of the introduction, parts of all the interviews, and Quality expectations’ interviews. It ends with the question "would YOU buy it?" onscreen rather than information about "a quality cascade programme". Also some of the job titles in captions are different.

Duration: 18 minutes (full version); 11 minutes 30 seconds (shortened version).
