'Cooking for Christmas' (cookery book)

Leaflet promoting Sainsbury's traditional festive foods. Products promoted include fresh and frozen turkeys, geese, 14-day-hung beef, gammon joints, half legs of pork, Christmas puddings, wines (including the introduction of Sainsbury's "Wine Selector" which grades Sainsbury's wines according to their sweetness), spirits, frozen foods (including brussels sprouts, sausage rolls and Black Forest Gateau), and stilton. The leaflet also includes an advertisement for Sainsbury's Discount '82 low prices programme, and the opening hours and a location map for Woolton Village branch, Liverpool. It features two festive recipes (Walnut Stuffed Breast of Veal; and Snowball Pudding) and an advertisement for Sainsbury's "Cooking for Christmas" and "Festive Food and Party Pieces" books by Josceline Dimbleby. Leaflet was available to customers at no charge as part of the "Good food costs less at Sainsbury's" advertising campaign and features colour photographs. Includes the slogan "Good food costs less at your local Sainsbury's".

Features four festive recipes (Apple Snowballs, Christmas Shortbread, Mincemeat Profiteroles, and Christmas Cake) and colour photographs. Leaflet was available to customers at no charge.
