Machine pressed relief tile with a stylised plant design. The tile has a white and cream coloured glaze ground with a tan coloured glaze over the raised areas of the design. There is an inscription on the reverse, 'MINTON TILES ENGLAND'. This tile is in the Sainsbury's house style that predominated from the 1890s to the late 1940s; it would have been on the wall behind the counter of a branch.
