"Sainsbury's New TV Commercials" press release, 16 May 1991

Press release announcing the launch of a new television advertising campaign with three commercials in which viewers are shown by a celebrity how to cook and prepare a dish using ingredients from Sainsbury's. The 60-second commercials would feature the strapline 'Sainsbury's: Everyone's Favourite Ingredient'.

The first of the commercials would feature Selina Scott cooking Mozzarella Pasta. Commercials with Wendy Craig and Ian McShane were to follow. Free recipe cards for the featured dishes would be available in all Sainsbury's and Savacentre stores. The campaign was produced by Abbott Mead Vickers (advertising agency) and the television commercials by John S. Clarke.
