Recording of a special business television programme for Sainsbury’s staff (mainly Sainsbury’s store management teams) to present the Sainsbury’s group interim financial results for 1998-1999. The programme was broadcast on the "SMART" network (Sainsbury's Management and Retail Television). It was presented by John Howard in the studio.

2. Sir George Bull (non-executive Chairman) discusses the financial results. Includes footage of Sir George’s visit around Wantage store.
3. Studio interview with Dino Adriano (Group Chief Executive) about the financial results.
4. Interviews with financial analysts Mark Wasilewski and Clive Black filmed after the presentation to analysts.
5. Studio interview with Dino Adriano, discussing the financial analysts’ reaction, sales figures, customer perceptions survey comparing Sainsbury’s with other supermarkets, ‘Value to Shout About’ campaign, and changes to senior management (including Bob Cooper leaving).
6. Interview with Jack O’Brien (Managing Director, Savacentre) about Savacentre’s performance, progress, plans, and refurbishment of Calcot store. Includes footage of Calcot store interior.
7. Studio interview with Dino Adriano about Homebase and Shaw’s financial results.
8. Interview with Richard Chadwick (Deputy Chief Executive, Sainsbury’s Bank) about Sainsbury’s Bank’s financial performance, new products, cash dispensers. Includes footage of ‘Sainsbury’s Bank Information Centre’ (display with leaflets and phone in a Sainsbury’s store).
9. Studio interview with Dino Adriano (includes answers to questions sent in by staff) about various topics: the expansion of B&Q and impact on Homebase; merger rumours in the press; expansion of US business and increasing consolidation (Shaw’s); effectiveness of ‘buy one get one free’ etc offers; how he sees the next six months – importance of Christmas; share prices; rollout of features from the relaunched Calcot Savacentre; promotion of value.
