Battery operated, portable black unit with a reader dial with a needle and markings in degrees fahrenheit from 0 to 75 on the front. The top contains a socket for a probe and a wrist strap is attached to the bottom . The unit is used to measure the temperature of items being probed, and is held in a black synthetic case. The front of the case and the reader dial are inscribed with the name of the device, 'dependatherm'.
