Portable grey metal unit with two control knobs and a reader dial with a needle and markings in degrees celsius from -30 to 20 on the front. The unit is backed with a layer of black synthetic foam. There are four sockets at the top of the main unit where probes could be attached. The thermometer was used to measure the temperature of items being probed.
